Celebrations and anniversaries I often serve as an excuse to raise different activities, addressing cross-cutting themes and play with the subject a more relaxed. Well, this is not true. In fact cruelly misleading my students, as I have done today under the guise of a contest to celebrate Valentine's Day, I told them we were going to play to build phrases that describe what to them suggests the love and indifference, but with a little difficulty: the sentences had to respect the following structure:

Together we have written a more or less successful example on the board ( Love is a river ... crystal that passes through your heart is falling out of love ... a dark divorce kills lovers). My dark intentions however, went beyond the language game: to outline the parts of speech with a communicative approach, establishing a logical connection between sentence structure and meaning, inventing metaphors, managing the online thesaurus, use Google Docs as an online communication tool and use language to express feelings.
We have devoted a session to undertake the activity along it and there have been doubts and problems that we used to discuss and clarify (confusion between the adjective and the prepositional complement, grammatical errors with the addition of governance, lack of knowledge of the determinants). Lexical poverty, especially in the semantic field of feelings, we have solved using the online thesaurus .
At the end of the class, a student told me: "Silvia, should be like all language classes, we have fun and we have not done anything. " Nothing. Nothing. That none of us spoke Lorea and Txaro in Three Chalk . Here are their swim:
