So far, this has been one of the activities in which most students have enjoyed my course. I guess that is because of that desire that we human beings can become gods and give life to new creatures at will. Have made this proposal writing as an excuse to leave the imagination flourish without fear so overflowing with kids 13 years and often are determined to bury.
The proposal was made in the classroom blog : create a bestiary with fantastic animals created by students. After reading the instructions developed their compositions in the computer room. All were interested from the beginning, they found it fun to play to create their own monsters.
Once, I was sent by mail their productions. Most were several aspects textual syntax, spelling and typographical improve, so we use a self-assessment template previously developed for me to revise themselves and modify their work. The improvement has been remarkable.
And finally, the collection: a bestiary of 19 animals impossible sorted alphabetically and accompanied by their pictures (taken by students with Paint, by hand or by obtaining an image of Google, according to their skills).
