Cutting For Chudithar

KULT

Hometown image
In my short experience as a teacher I have been gradually changing my methodology in the classroom by observing, first, and how much I learn from teachers of the blogosphere, on the other, and one aspect I've changed was the way to evaluate the readings.
During my first year as a teacher, and following the tradition of my school, did tests to assess whether the students had read the book. The following year, I modified the test to include questions of interpretation, valuation and a little literary creation. In both cases I had a feeling of wastage reader teaching mixed with uneasiness, which increased to ensure that the reviews of readings (some even as a test!) Was not common in schools, but almost the only option arise.
The alternatives, as always, I found on the web: Videoformes literary, collaborative wikis , reading recommendations or interactive sequences proposals closer to the student, more open in terms of instruments and qualification criteria and with more juice than a cursory examination whose only requirement is to remember the color of the pants of Frederick.
As told in a previous post , reading chosen for the initial evaluation at 1 º ESO has been Abdel of Enrique Paez, a book to elaborate on different topics beyond the strictly literary, as the Arab world, illegal immigration, drug smuggling, labor exploitation and child and family values. If the books are a window to the world, try to open students up to the window to take advantage of what we offer.
With reading tab I made a purpose of the book I tried to make the students work on different aspects both thematic (the Arab world, the political, African geography) and language and literature (descriptions, reading comprehension, critical reviews creative writing, interviews), and the search information on the Internet.

In this link you can see the literary creations of the students.
And the culmination of the reading guide, Enrique Paez has been kind enough to answer via e-mail to an interview prepared by the students that were interested in his life, his career as a writer and related issues with the book they have read. Thank you very much, Enrique;)

How To Repaint Diomond Plated Ttuck Tool Box

2.0

Christmas I want to congratulate the readers of this blog by an amazing video that is circulating like wildfire on blogs and social networks and that has left me with my mouth open. It is made by the Portuguese company Excentric and tells the story of the birth of Jesus in a digital universe.

This is the synopsis of the video collection at Malaga opinion:

The video begins with a Google search on a map showing the location of Jerusalem. The Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel come across a message to the iPhone of the Virgin Mary, who is soon to inform her husband, "Joseph the Carpenter ', through Gmail," Joseph, we need to talk. I'm pregnant .. .. " Both head for Bethlehem, but ... How to get there and what mode of transportation? For that, nothing better than Google Maps and find a 'vehicle' in a 'rent a car '. The good news not long in coming to Facebook. San Jose invites you all to know the Son of God through this network. Hundreds of Christians respond to the call with 'I like'. The news reached the ears of the three Magi, who exchange messages from Twitter to see what they buy to the child. Eventually decided by the online store Amazon. To reach Bethlehem need to follow ('Follow') to the Star of Bethlehem. Finally, Baltasar hanging video of the arrival of Their Majesties the barn on Youtube.

CHRISTMAS TRIBUTE TO THE GENERATION OF 27 STORIES BUILDING

Hometown image
Today marks the anniversary of founding act of the Class of 27 that took place 83 years ago at the University of Seville. The poets of that group used the third anniversary of the death of Góngora to vindicate their poetry. Toni Solano
blogosphere has proposed to participate in this celebration. Like that we did last year , this time we also join in the tribute with a poem by Luis Cernuda that stands as a cry that proclaims love as the ultimate human freedom.

If man could say what he loves,
if the man could raise his love for
sky like a cloud in the light;
if, as walls crumble,
to greet the truth straight in the middle,
could collapse his body, leaving only
the truth of his love,
truth itself,
not called glory, wealth or ambition, but
love or desire,
imagined I would be one;
who with his tongue, his eyes and his hands
proclaims to people the truth ignored
the truth of his true love.

Freedom
not know but the freedom of being imprisoned in
someone whose name I can not hear without chill;
someone who I forget this miserable existence
for whom the day and night are to me what you want,
and my body and spirit floating in your body and spirit as
lost logs that the sea flooded or
up freely, the freedom of love, the only
freedom which exalts me,
the only freedom that I die.

You justify my existence:
if you do not know, I have not lived;
if I die without knowing, I do not die, because I have not lived.

Birthday Cakes In Safewaygallery

MAPPING WITH GOOGLE MAPS impossible animal

Diversity In 3 of narrative texts we are working. It is a small group (6 students) with academic difficulties, although excellent performance and most workers, so I can propose alternative activities rather . This year I plan to influence the writing, as deficiencies in this skill are obvious.
The first activity around the narrative has been to create a story mapped with Google Maps . It is a draft prepared by Antonia Sáez I found on the blog of Professor DominaTICs @ joserovira . Know if the proposal has been implemented previously. In my case I have adapted some aspects of the characteristics of my students and the hours available in the computer room.
After showing a worked example for me (is just the beginning of a story) and provide instructions, students were grouped in pairs and began to create his stories set in real places of our region (Sangüesa Liédena, Yesa, Sos del Rey Católico). The advantages of using Google Maps have been many and varied: they have worked collaboratively, have known better structure their compositions (each marker corresponds to a paragraph), have played with the symbiosis between text and image, have developed their creativity and it has increased their motivation by knowing that his story would be posted on the blog.
are many, many supervised by the self-corrections that have been carrying me down to the final version. If you do click on each map it will be opened a window on Google Maps: click in order on the markers that appear in the left column and you will read the stories step by step.

The bank, created history by Mikel Goñi and Jean Pool Patiño

Sos del Rey Catolico, story created by Nora Gallo and Jessica Jimenez

: writing a proposal regarding the description

So far, this has been one of the activities in which most students have enjoyed my course. I guess that is because of that desire that we human beings can become gods and give life to new creatures at will. Have made this proposal writing as an excuse to leave the imagination flourish without fear so overflowing with kids 13 years and often are determined to bury.

The proposal was made in the classroom blog : create a bestiary with fantastic animals created by students. After reading the instructions developed their compositions in the computer room. All were interested from the beginning, they found it fun to play to create their own monsters.

Once, I was sent by mail their productions. Most were several aspects textual syntax, spelling and typographical improve, so we use a self-assessment template previously developed for me to revise themselves and modify their work. The improvement has been remarkable.

And finally, the collection: a bestiary of 19 animals impossible sorted alphabetically and accompanied by their pictures (taken by students with Paint, by hand or by obtaining an image of Google, according to their skills).

ABDEL: ON READING, CULTURAL AND STUDENTS SAHARAN PEOPLE

Hometown image
The proposed last year in high school reading to 1 º ESO Abdel of Enrique Paez. Was the preferred reading by students, according to their own evaluations, so we decided to keep to this course. The book narrates a very lively and simply, the story of a boy who lives as nomadic Tuareg in the desert Sahara and her father emigrated to Spain to try to improve their living conditions.

Reading in the classroom we are led to be commenting on the topics covered in the book: the Arab world, illegal immigration, drug smuggling and child labor exploitation and family values. To my surprise (I recognize that sometimes undervalue) students knew enough to place Morocco in a silent world map, most knew the language and religion of the country, some were able to cite specific characteristics of the Moroccan people (food, ethnic) and its geography (capital, major cities) and even a student had visited the country on vacation and told us his experience. Apart from this data, the highlight of the comments about the reading was the discussion and assessment of students regarding cross-cutting themes surprised me the ability of children to get into the skin of another, solidarity with others, to show their sensitivity to other cultures without the prejudices that adults have.

reflections
If the thread were interesting reading and the last course, this being even more successful, I know that many students see the news with their parents while they eat, so I left them the ones to bring forth the issue of conflict in Western Sahara. No time in doing so. To this helped also in the book quoted Laayoune. This has meant that we used to treat currently taking as an excuse to read and to do a little critical reflection on the situation. The next task to entrust them, in addition to Abdel shape the itinerary on a map and collect information about the terms that appear Moroccans will be to make a mural with news related to the Sahara conflict. The idea for the final activity me come out of the blue today .

How Often Do You Wear Women's Panties?

Since September I have discussed with my colleagues institute a case that has made me rethink certain aspects of my programming: in my heart, I suppose like the rest, there are several remedies available to those who have difficulty understanding or have a lag curriculum: splittings of diversity, Curriculum diversification, minority class. No However, there is no measure of development for those students who have highly motivated , increased work capacity and a desire to expand their knowledge curriculum. Of the 45 students that I teach the class in Secondary 2, at least 10 fall into this category. Although the pace of work and progress in acquiring skills and knowledge of the two classes is right, that's not enough for them (or me). I have the feeling that you are wasting the opportunity to express the talent and the high capacity of these students, issues, by the way, I do not think that would be implemented through fichitas expansion.
After beating around the bush for several weeks, I presented a proposal to my students of 2 º: create a Team of Editors for Blog classroom. Encouraged by extra punctuation is in the assessment note, there have been many who have come to the meeting that we held during recess. Anticipating this situation, I was writing yesterday thoroughly the conditions required to join the team of writers bloggers, and the answer was as expected, have gradually been moving away from the meeting room and have become really interested only those students precisely those in which I thought when I decided to start this project.
The overall assessment of the meeting was very positive: they are very excited and eager to begin. I was very glad of their involvement. We'll see how that goes.
I leave here the information sheet that I have provided.

EVENT PROGRAMMING WORKING

Thursday, 16 December. 10:00 hs. - Registration and accreditation.

Working Group (WG 1) 11:00 - 13.00 hs. - "Secularism, education and sexual and reproductive rights." Chairs: Victor Ribeiro, and L. Valentin Magnone Nicolas Guigou The aim of the WG is to discuss the current status of secularism in the Rio de la Plata through situations in our countries experienced in recent years. Sexual and reproductive rights and marriage and adoption by same-sex couples are emerging as a set of public debates in which the game is in state secularism. Transformations public education through the adoption of new laws and educational policies aimed at children and adolescents from vulnerable by NGOs funded by the state emerges as another area in which the secular state can be problematized. Likewise, the discourses and practices of churches and religious movements to sexual and reproductive rights, are also the realm of value, denial or confirmation thereof. In this way we hope to generate a discussion that allows us to understand the continuities and transformations of secularism in our country.

Working Group (WG 2)
15:00 to 17:30 hs. - "Religion, dictatorship and political systems in the Rio de la Plata" Coordinators: Victoria Chiappara Evia and Carla Says: Luciana Fuqua The aim of the WG is to discuss the influence of religion in recent political history of our country. The 60 involved a repositioning of religion in relation to the political, crystallized in Catholicism with Vatican II and Medellín Consensus, repositioning carried out by different currents also Protestant and African American religions. Dictatorship in the Southern Cone emerges as a historic moment that demonstrates the differences in the relationships the different religious currents, especially Catholicism, maintained with state terrorism. The restoration of democracy in the 80's has religious organizations and Christian base communities as key actors in the process of re-democratization and now the link between the religious and political takes on new forms that discuss the strict separation between these dimensions postulated by the theories of secularization.

Friday 17 December.
Working Group (WG 3) 10:30 - 13 pm. - "Picture, religious iconography and memory"
Coordinators: Magdalena Gutiérrez, Florencia Martinez and JA Nadruz.

The goal of WP is to investigate the emblems, symbols and traditions of religion in our region. The different forms of religion can be understood as a set of images, discourses and symbols attached to a particular tradition that crystallizes the identity and memory of a religious group. It is in this sense that we are interested in the various reports of religious groups, defined as the construction of a temporary and a particular historicity. The appropriation of urban space, the different forms of popular religion and ritual performances of the various religious groups is another area interest of the working group.
